 Theresa Y. (Teri) Britts
CPA, CFP®, Managing Partner
Teri's professional experiences before beginning her own practice include being Tax Manager at Hardin, Wolff, Bradley & Co. CPA's and also Audit/Tax supervisor at Kerber, Eck, & Braeckel CPA's. Teri graduated from MacMurray College, Jacksonville, Illinois, with a double major in Accounting and Business Management. Since graduation, she has continued to maintain over 40 hours of professional education each year.
Teri is not only committed to accounting but to the community as well. She is a former board member of the Springfield Urban League, and the Springfield Jaycees. She has served as the treasurer for a committee to elect an official running for public office and as a member of the administrative committee for her church. She was involved as a big sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister Association for nine years.
Teri is currently a board member of the San Antonio Black Business Expo, and serves as Treasurer for the Community Development Loan Fund, Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce and Mico Volunteer Fire Department. She is also a member of the San Antonio CPA Society, the Texas State CPA Society, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the San Antonio Chapter of Business Network International.
Monica Swenson
Monica graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and she obtained her M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
She has a broad range of experience in many industries and financial areas. Her responsibilities at the firm include financial and internal control analysis and examinations, and tax consultations and projects.
 Claudia Bautista
Quickbooks Pro-Advisor
Claudia has been with our firm since December 2006. She started as a Lead Bookkeeper and advanced to professional staff department. Through out her career she has dealt with all the departments in a CPA firm. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s in Accounting and expects to earn her undergraduate degree in May 2010. She plans to sit for the CPA exam when she has attained the necessary requirements.
Claudia has been preparing Individual tax returns for several years. She also is very familiar with Quickbooks and trains our clients on all modules of it. Her duties include, but not limited to Tax preparation, Bookkeeping, Quarterly reporting, Sales tax reporting and Quickbooks training.
 Pat Murphy
Bookkeeper
Pat Murphy performed contract bookkeeping services for the Firm since 1998 and joined the Firm fulltime in 2005 as the administrative assistant.
She is now in the bookkeeping department.
 Teresa Fendley
Bookkeeper
Teresa Fendley has been with the firm since December of 2007 as the Administrative Assistant. Her background is in healthcare and she has spent many years as a medical transcriptionist/medical biller/administrative assistant in various medical office/clinic settings. She moved to the Bookkeeping Department in May of 2009.
 Bobby Bernal
BBA
Bobby Bernal graduated in 1999 with a BBA from UTSA. He double majored in accounting and finance. Bobby has over 4 years of experience in the capacity of Tax Senior and 4 years experience in bond arbitrage calculations.
 Raul Huerta
BBA in Accounting
Raul received his BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He began as an intern with Britts & Associates, LLP during the 2009 tax season. After the completion of his BBA in Accounting he plans to attend UTSA to obtain his MBA degree then work towards receiving his CPA certification.
Prior to being employed by Britts & Associates, LLP he worked as an Intern/Co-op for a national construction company which produces construction aggregate, industrial and specialty chemicals. There he acquired practical, hands-on work experience. He also worked as an Internal Control Specialist for a company that distributes industrial, medical and specialty gases all over the country. Raul also served proudly in the U.S. Army for four and half years. He has volunteered with the Junior Achievement of South Texas organization which helps prepare students for the real world by helping them learn and understand the economics of life.
Raul has prepared a variety of individual, partnership, corporate, non-profit and estate returns. In addition, he has compiled financial statements and has assisted in providing bookkeeping services for our business clients.
 Amanda Jamie
Amanda graduated from Texas A&M International University at Laredo, TX with a BBA. She was recently accepted by the Board of Public Accountancy as a candidate for the CPA exam. Amanda has had five years of experience in a variety of functions. Amanda’s responsibilities are preparation of individual and business tax returns.
