 Theresa Y. (Teri) Britts
CPA, CFP®, Managing Partner
Teri's professional experiences before beginning her own practice include being Tax Manager at Hardin, Wolff, Bradley & Co. CPA's and also Audit/Tax supervisor at Kerber, Eck, & Braeckel CPA's. Teri graduated from MacMurray College, Jacksonville, Illinois, with a double major in Accounting and Business Management. Since graduation, she has continued to maintain over 40 hours of professional education each year.
Teri is not only committed to accounting but to the community as well. She is a former board member of the Springfield Urban League, and the Springfield Jaycees. She has served as the treasurer for a committee to elect an official running for public office and as a member of the administrative committee for her church. She was involved as a big sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister Association for nine years.
Teri is currently a board member of the San Antonio Black Business Expo, and serves as Treasurer for the Community Development Loan Fund, Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce and Mico Volunteer Fire Department. She is also a member of the San Antonio CPA Society, the Texas State CPA Society, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the San Antonio Chapter of Business Network International.
 Sharon D. Parham
Associate Partner, Staff Accountant
Sharon has her B.S. degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University and her MHR from the University of Oklahoma. Sharon brings 9 years of civil service experience to the firm. During her civil service career, she worked with Army Community Service as a budget & consumer counselor where her duties included tax preparation, consumer education and training, retirement and investment planning, and money management. She did her internship with the Equal Employment Opportunity office as the chairperson of ethic observance month.
Sharon has been with Britts & Associates, LLP, for 6 years and during that time she has taken and successfully passed all the courses to become a Certified Financial Planner. She also works as the Information Technology person for the firm.
 Holly A. Hewitt
Associate Partner, Staff Accountant
Holly graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a BA in Accounting. She graduated with an MBA in e-Business from the University of Phoenix in Houston. She is currently studying for her Certified Public Accountant license. She is a student member of the Texas Society of CPA's.
She has three years of accounting experience with our firm and for a firm in Houston. While employed by Britts, Lackie, and Associates, she audited a small nonprofit organization that receives approximately $25,000 form the San Antonio Fiesta Commission, helped with a due diligence for a local government entity, and others.
Holly volunteers with Operation Orphans and The Texas Youth Hunting Program. She helps give youth the opportunity to learn about the outdoors.
Angel L. Rodriguez
CPA, Audit Manager
Angel L. Rodriguez is an experienced CPA with 27 years of experience.
Angel started his career in Puerto Rico with a Top-10 local CPA firm and then he joined a Big-4 CPA firm, where he served in the Assurance Department. He passed the CPA exam while working with this firm. After that, he worked for a Fortune 500 Company as Internal Auditor performing financial and operational audits for business units within US and Latin America. He served as Chief Accountant for a distribution subsidiary of a Top-10 Private Company. During fourteen (14) years, Angel worked as a Sole Practitioner, providing auditing, general accounting, taxes, and consulting services.
He moved to San Antonio in the summer of 2004, and prior to joining Britts & Associates, LLP, Angel worked for a billion-dollar manufacturing company in San Antonio as an Internal Auditor.
He holds an MBA degree and he is CPA licensed in the State of Texas and Puerto Rico.
Monica Swenson
Staff Auditor and Accountant
Monica has a broad range of experience in many industries and functions. She started her career in the public accounting field doing both tax and audit work for local and international public accounting firms for a variety of industries (for example: cities, banking, manufacturing, insurance). She obtained her certified public accounting designation during this time.
From there she was hired as an Internal Auditor for an international company that sent her abroad to do operational and financial audits of newly acquired foreign subsidiaries. She moved into the financial planning and analysis field with this company and obtained her MBA in finance during this time. She has had experience in the Medical field as a financial analyst for, what was then, the 10th largest Medicare Provider in the United States servicing both the Florida and Texas market. She was Corporate Controller for 14 years for an international clothing manufacturer-cataloger and also in the heavy construction industry. She has worked as a staff consultant for the largest specialized financial staffing company in the world. She is now back to her roots in Public Accounting, bringing with her a wealth of practical experience from the client's perspective.
 Christopher B. (Chris) Madero
Staff Accountant
Chris graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in February 1999 from DeVry University in Pomona, CA with a 3.91 GPA and Summa Cum Laude honors. He now has over 6 years experience in General Ledger accounting. He looks for every opportunity to apply his knowledge of accounting in using independent judgment.
Among his professional accomplishments, he has been a Controller with a medical billing service, an internal auditor with a Burger King franchise, and a bookkeeper with a manufacturing company. As a Controller, Chris was head of a small accounting department and also held the roles of HR Manager and Payroll Manager. In his own business, Chris has also had experience in income tax preparation for individuals and small business consulting, specializing in QuickBooks training. Chris is looking to further his education and obtain an MBA in Accounting at UTSA and then to take the CPA exam.
Jana J. Dudding
Staff Accountant
Jana received a B.A. in Accounting, with honors, from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas in December 2005. Jana also gained much of her knowledge while serving 12 years in the US Army Reserves from 1990 to 2003.
Jana has experience in various fields and enjoys taking on a challenge. She has held a Controller's position for a startup Emergency Service company in which she established the books, completed medical billing and transcription, maintained bookkeeping tasks, and managed the office.
She has four years experience in construction as an Accounts Receivable Clerk for March Construction General Contractor during which time she researched and assisted in the implementation of several software packages for the entire corporation.
 Jerrod N. Fendley
Staff Accountant
Jerrod graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBA in Accounting in August 2005 and an MS in Accounting in December 2006. He is currently seeking his certification as a Certified Public Accountant. While completing his graduate degree, he worked part-time as a teaching assistant and tutor for the University of Texas at San Antonio's Department of Accounting. Additionally, he was highly involved in the school's chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, an international professional accounting honor society which is an affiliate of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Upon completing his graduate degree, Jerrod worked at another local CPA firm until shortly after tax season. He joined Britts & Associates, LLP in July 2007. As a staff accountant at each firm, he has had varied experience, to include individual, corporate, and partnership tax work as well as compilations and audits of small businesses.
Jerrod has been a member of the San Antonio chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2005.
